I didn’t know then how much that love for turning ordinary things into something meaningful would shape my life and my work. My career has walked alongside women through their becoming, from adolescence to motherhood. Today, Mind Makeover Therapy is a practice for high-functioning women living in survival mode. My work follows a familiar thread. The “mature” child who becomes the independent woman. The strong woman. The one everyone counts on, who is still learning what it feels like to be supported herself. For her, burnout doesn’t look like failing. It looks like functioning without feeling. These women are learning to use their gifts without letting what they give become the measure of their worth. They are coming home to themselves, their purpose, and whatever helps them feel whole in mind, body, and spirit. The work is simple to name and brave to do: create safety, make space, come home. We get there in three steps. First, we regulate, learning to create safety in the body. Then we release, letting go of suppressed emotions and unlearning silence as safety. Finally, we reconnect, returning to purpose in spirit and in community.

Then we release, letting go of suppressed emotions and unlearning silence as safety. Finally, we reconnect, returning to purpose in spirit and in community. Embodying the work is the bridge. It’s where what you’ve learned about yourself becomes how you live, in your body and in your life. Through mindfulness, movement, and creativity, we make room to explore who we are beyond what we’ve had to carry. Where expression and embodiment meet. And a sweet reminder for those who carry so much and do so much: the caregivers, teachers, leaders, and healers. You deserve safety, too. You deserve space to be held. This is for you.
